yftaS & youth environmental organisations MEET WITH THE EESC PRESIDENCY

On Friday 20 June, Elena Sbaragli represented the Young Fair Trade Advocates (YFTAs) at a high-level meeting with the Presidency of the Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment (NAT) Section of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).

Joined by representatives from leading youth environmental organisations across the EU, Elena contributed to a robust exchange of perspectives on today’s most pressing global challenges. The dialogue addressed the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, water scarcity, and food security within the EU, all within the broader geopolitical context.

Elena’s presence contribution focused the vital role of youth-led civil society voices in shaping policy recommendations submitted by the EESC to the European Commission, Parliament and Council, advancing a fairer and more sustainable future.
