YFTAs Gathering 2025

This week, the Young Fair Trade Advocates gathered in Brussels for their annual gathering. From climate resilience and global trade dynamics to public speaking workshops, this year’s sessions created space for learning, exchange and critical reflection on the future of Fair Trade and the Movement.

The young advocates were joined by Michael, Abu, Solomon and Benjamin, smallholder farmers and cocoa experts from Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, who provided an insightful presentation about the current challenges and opportunities of the sector.

The YFTAs also participated in the Conference on Living Incomes and Living Wages, jointly hosted by Fairtrade International, Fairtrade Belgium and the Fair Trade Advocacy Office, in partnership with the European Economic and Social Committee. The event convened policymakers, businesses, academics, and civil society organizations to explore the role of public policy in ensuring fairer incomes and wages across global agri-food supply chains.

A heartfelt thank you to all the YFTAs and Fair Activists who joined, your voices are shaping a more equitable future. We are excited to see what’s next!
